Gary Barg

Biography

A noted speaker, writer and publisher on caregiving issues since 1995, Gary Barg is founder and editor-in-chief of the first national magazine for caregivers, Today’s Caregiver, as well the original online caregiver community, caregiver.com.

Today’s Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com combine information, advice and reader’s stories with interviews with celebrity caregivers such as former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, Della Reese, Rob Lowe, Dana Reeve, Barbara Eden, and Debbie Reynolds, among others.

Barg created The Fearless Caregiver Conferences, which are held across the country and which bring together caregivers to share their knowledge and experience as well as honor the annual CareHeroes Awards recipients. His book, The Fearless Caregiver, is filled with practical advice, poetry, and inspirational stories. 

Barg is the recipient of the Mature Media Award for writing, the International Television Association Golden Reel Award, and the Southern Gerontological Society Media Award.

Barg serves as a member of the board of trustees for the National Adult Day Services Association and the American Association for Caregiver Education.

 

Gary Barg is the author of The Fearless Caregiver, the editor-in-chief of Today’s Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com, and the host of the Fearless Caregiver conferences.
