Julie Elaine Brown, M. A.

Biography

Julie Elaine Brown holds an M.A. in Journalism from Northeastern University in Boston and a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst; both degrees magna cum laude. She is a contractor and consultant for new media, and is currently the Executive Producer and Editor-in-Chief of Strength for Caring.

She is a fitness professional certified by the American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA). She has taught group aerobics classes and other classes at several universities and YMCAs throughout Massachusetts and California.

In addition to her fitness credentials, Julie is an online marketing, SEM, and strategy consultant. At StubHub, recently purchased by eBay, she was responsible for the company search engine optimization (SEO), homepage conversions, content strategy, email marketing, and online merchandising.

Her prior company, PODSF, developed revenue-generating online strategies for clients such as Hewlett Packard, Classmates.com, and Wells Fargo. Prior to PODSF, Julie worked at the leading interactive advertising agency SBI/RazorFish (formerly known as MarchFIRST), where she was responsible for the overall content and brand strategy for award-winning Websites including Visa USA, Sega.com, and Apple iTools.
