Robert Stein, M.D.
Biography
Robert B. Stein, MD, received his doctorate degree in medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship, residency, and chief medical residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital. At the University of Chicago Hospitals and Health System in Illinois, Dr. Stein completed his fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, and was a senior clinical fellow in inflammatory bowel diseases.
Dr. Stein has worked as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also served as Associate Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease research at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Currently, he is in private practice and also serves as attending gastroenterologist at two Pennsylvania medical institutions — Abington Memorial Hospital and Holy Redeemer Medical Center in Meadowbrook.
Dr. Stein has served as reviewer of several medical journals. He has coauthored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, topic reviews, and book chapters in the area of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. Dr. Stein has also given lectures around the country on various gastroenterologic topics, and has participated in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Stein is the Associate Editor of the 2000 and 2001 Yearbook of Gastroenterology.
