Vicki Rackner, M.D. is a board-certified surgeon and clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Rackner left the operating room to be on the cutting edge of health care consumerism. She's an author, speaker, and consultant. Dr. Rackner's books include Chicken Soup for the Soul: Healthy Living Series: Heart Disease, The Biggest Skeleton in Your Doctor's Closet, and The Personal Health Journal: A Resource for Owning and Directing Your Health Story.
