scorereset, You are an excellent spouse and deserve great credit for what you do. After caring for my mom at home for 5 years, I have a number of suggestions. 1. Make sure you make time for yourself to save your own health. 2. Look for a caregiver support group to get "moral" support, listen to other stories and ideas and feel that you are not alone. 3. Try an enlist other family members, church friends, coworkers, neighbors, to give you a bit of time off (maybe even only an hour or two). 4. Try and investgate local, county and state respite programs that might only have an income test and not an asset test. 5. Call your County Social Servcies Dept. to ask for phone numbers to people and places that can assit you. 6. Ask your MD for advice not only to help your husband, but more importantly to help you. 7. See if there is a local Caregiers Coalition in your are where you can look for resources to help you. 8. Again, take time for yourself. Hang in there. cg33
