Carol's Story

My father passed away in 1998 with prostate cancer. Now my mom is 60 and in bad health. We live in a rural part of Madison County Alabama about 30 miles from the closeset doctor. it is difficult getting mom to and from the doctors and when gas was almost $4 gallon i know a lot of people who went without going to the dr. So i am doing something about it. I am starting a Community Service Center that will house 1)Family Medical Clinic 2) Child Care Center 3)Teen Center 4)Senior Center 5)Food Pantry 6)Clothing Pantry 7)Appliance Pantry 8)Community Meeting Place. and any other service that our community needs. I am setting this up so that no one will be turned away due to their inability to pay. One of the services that on Doctor is doing is if you are elderly and or disabled and cant get to the clinic the physcian will make old fashion house call and go minister to that patient.
