LUNG DISEASE

Overview

Lung disease is the third-most common killer in America, responsible for one in seven deaths.

More than 35 million Americans live with chronic lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis. Lung diseases also include lung cancer, tuberculosis, emphysema, pneumonia, sarcoidosis, HIV/AIDS related lung disease, and influenza.

Our lungs are responsible for taking in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. Lung disease affects the ability to perform these critical duties.
