Benton County Sunshine School

Since 1958 Sunshine School has been serving people in Northwest Arkansas who have developmental disabilities or delays and children who are "at risk." The disabilities may include Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Mental Retardation and Down Syndrome. Although most of the people we serve are between the ages of birth to five, we serve all age groups.

To empower individuals and families, through education and parental support, to achieve successful, productive lives.

We Believe

  • Early identification and intervention provide the best opportunities for reaching maximum potential.
  • The families of people with developmental disabilities require our support and assistance.
  • Services must be individually tailored to needs.
  • As advocates and educators, we must help bring about more acceptance of people with developmental disabilities.
  • Services will be provided based on need, not on ability to pay.
