The Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Aging Services administers a statewide system of services for senior citizens, their families and caregivers. Georgia Local Area Agencies on Aging
Visit this site to find the Area Agency on Aging that is closest to you. The Division of Aging Services (DAS) coordinates with 12 AAAs identified by geographical boundaries. All community-based services for older Georgians are coordinated through these agencies. AAAs are effective advocates for the needs of Georgia’s aging population.

Georgia Ombudsman
The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman (Georgia) seeks to improve the quality of life for residents of long-term care facilities (nursing homes, intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded, personal care homes, and community living arrangements). The State Office certifies and trains community ombudsmen who work to resolve concerns of long-term care facility residents statewide.
